Brentford are a one-premium side, and that premium is Igor Thiago at £7.9m — the only player in the squad above £6.5m, and by a clear margin the focal point of everything they do going forward. Anthony and Schade at £6.0m lead the mid-price attacking group behind him (Dango Ouattara has since moved on to Ipswich). The defence is cheap and stable — Kayode, Henry, Ajer, Hickey and Pinnock all at £4.5m — with Kelleher at £5.0m in goal.

Thiago at £7.9m is the pick that defines whether you own Brentford at all — the undisputed first-choice striker at a side that plays directly and creates genuinely clear chances, and the only route to their premium returns. Anthony and Schade at £6.0m are the alternative if you'd rather pay less for your Brentford exposure. Collins at £5.5m is the priciest defender in the squad.

Brentford's back line is genuinely good value. Kayode, Henry, Ajer, Hickey, Pinnock, Schuster and Kim Ji-Soo all sit at £4.5m behind a well-drilled defensive shape, with Valdimarsson also £4.5m in goal. Kelleher at £5.0m is the more established goalkeeper option. Henry and Hickey carry the most attacking upside of the group from full-back.

Thiago is a legitimate differential captain in the right spot — home against bottom-half opposition, where Brentford's direct style creates clear chances and he takes most of them. Not a default armband, since their ceiling sits below the top sides, but a solid mid-price punt when you're chasing rank rather than protecting it.

Schade and Anthony at £6.0m are the low-ownership picks worth knowing, both capable of a haul when Brentford's direct play clicks. Damsgaard and Lewis-Potter at £5.5m are the cheaper creative options, Damsgaard with the added set-piece threat. Jensen at £5.5m and Carvalho, Janelt and Milambo at £5.0m are the deeper midfield punts.

Callum Wilson at £5.5m is a backup striker behind Thiago and rarely worth the slot. The midfield is congested — Carvalho, Henderson, Janelt, Dasilva, Milambo and Yarmoliuk all sit at £5.0m fighting for limited starts, which makes minutes genuinely hard to call. And while the £4.5m defenders are good value, Brentford's clean sheets dry up fast against the stronger attacking sides, so I wouldn't stack more than two.
