A fantasy game is better with people you know, because the table is the whole point. Gameweek Fantasy lets you start a private mini-league in under a minute and invite everyone with a single link. Nobody needs to download anything.
Start the league
- 1. Build and save your squad for the current gameweek.
- 2. When the save goes through, a prompt offers to create a league. Give it a name and tap Create league.
- 3. You get a league code and a ready-made invite message.
- 4. Tap Send on WhatsApp, or Share to use any app, and drop it in your group chat.
- 5. Your friends open the link, sign up free, pick their squad, and appear in your table.
Where your league lives afterwards
You can find it any time under My leagues. Tables rank everyone on points added up across every gameweek they have played. Every manager also sits in the season-long Global league automatically, so you can see how your group compares with everyone else.
Make the league worth playing
- Agree a deadline for the group: the first match of the gameweek is the cut-off for everyone.
- Turn on notifications. You get a reminder before the deadline if you have not picked yet, and a heads-up a few hours before it if a starter in your squad is flagged as injured.
- Name the league after the group, so it is obvious in the invite.
- Pick a different captain from your friends. It is the biggest swing in the game and the best source of banter.
- Keep it friendly. There are no prizes or entry fees on FootballDream, so the stakes are bragging rights.
Other ways to play friends
If you want a single sitting rather than a season, try a Player Draft where two to four friends pick real Premier League players in turns, or the Match Predictor where everyone calls the scores before kickoff. All three are free and can be played with the same friends.
