Gameweek Fantasy is a free Premier League fantasy game with one big difference: your squad is not frozen at a single deadline. You build 15 real players for one gameweek, and each player stays editable until their own club kicks off. If a manager leaves your striker on the bench, you can still swap him out as long as his match has not started. This guide covers everything you need to play your first gameweek in about five minutes.
Build your first squad in five steps
- 1. Pick 15 players inside a 100.0m budget: 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards. You can have at most 3 players from any one club.
- 2. Choose your starting XI. Any formation works as long as you field 1 goalkeeper, 3 to 5 defenders, 2 to 5 midfielders and 1 to 3 forwards. The other 4 players sit on the bench, in the order you choose.
- 3. Give the captain's armband to one starter. Your captain scores double.
- 4. Save your squad. You can use Auto-pick to get a legal squad in one tap, copy last week's squad, or ask for a captain suggestion.
- 5. Come back before each day of fixtures and tweak. Anyone whose match has not started is still free to change.
What makes it different from a normal fantasy game
In most fantasy games you set your team once, before the first match of the week, and then you can only watch. Here every player locks individually at their own kickoff. A Friday night player locks on Friday night, and a Sunday player stays editable until Sunday.
There is one rule that keeps it fair. You can always give up on a player, but you can never gain from hindsight. If a starter has already played badly, you can bench him at any time, even after full time. Whoever comes on for him must not have kicked off yet, so you cannot bring in someone whose result you already know.
How points are scored
Scoring follows Premier League matchday points. The main ones:
- Playing 60 minutes or more: +2. Playing under 60 minutes: +1.
- Goals: +10 for a goalkeeper, +6 for a defender, +5 for a midfielder, +4 for a forward.
- Assist: +3. Clean sheet: +4 for goalkeepers and defenders, +1 for midfielders.
- Bonus points: +3, +2 and +1 for the three best players in each match.
- Every 3 saves by a goalkeeper: +1. Penalty save: +5. Defensive contributions can add +2.
- Conceding goals, yellow and red cards and own goals take points away.
Captains, the bench and automatic substitutions
There is no vice-captain. Because you can move the armband whenever you like before a player's kickoff, you never need a backup. If your captain's club announces a lineup without him, hand the armband to someone who has not played yet.
If you make no manual moves, automatic substitutions run when the gameweek ends. Any starter who did not play is replaced by the first bench player, in your bench order, who did play and keeps your formation legal.
Leagues and rankings
Every manager is added to the season-long Global league automatically. You can also create a private league for your friends in one tap and share the invite code or link. League tables add up your points across every gameweek you play, and each gameweek is a fresh squad, so one bad week never follows you around.
