Gameweek Fantasy Guide

Gameweek Fantasy is FootballDream’s flagship free Premier League fantasy game. You build ONE 15-player squad (2 GK, 5 DEF, 5 MID, 3 FWD within a 100.0m budget) that lasts the whole gameweek — not a new team every match. Players lock individually when their club kicks off, so you keep making tactical calls across the days.

Classic FPL locks your whole squad before the gameweek starts. On FootballDream Gameweek Fantasy each player locks at their own kickoff, so you can still swap someone whose match hasn’t started. After a starter finishes, you can bring on a bench player still to play. You can also change captain right up until that player’s match starts. It’s free, browser-based, and includes Global plus private friends leagues.

Yes. Any player whose match hasn’t started can be swapped for another eligible player — so if a manager benches your striker, you can switch before that club plays. Once a player’s match kicks off, they’re locked.

After a starter’s match finishes, you can substitute them for a bench player whose match hasn’t started yet. If you make no manual subs, automatic substitutions bring on your bench (in order, formation permitting) for any starter who didn’t play.

Your captain scores double. You can change your captain as often as you like until that player’s match starts. The vice-captain takes over if your captain doesn’t play.

Play each gameweek for weekly Global standings, or go season-long: create a private friends league with an invite code, or use Groups to spin up a cumulative season leaderboard. Points stack across every gameweek either way.
