Three gameweeks in, and one name is out on its own: Cody Gakpo, 28 points at £7.1m, top of the entire game. What's more interesting to me is who's second on value — Hull City's goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis, 26 points for £4.6m, which works out to more points per million than Gakpo himself. Promoted sides don't usually produce the best value pick in FPL. This season, Hull's defence has. Everything below is synced from official FPL data.

- Bruno Fernandes (Man United, MID) — 26 pts · £12.0m · 2.2 pts/£m

Where the actual value is sitting
Ajayi and Mendy, both Hull defenders under £4.2m, are outscoring Haaland on pure points per million by four times over. That's not a knock on Haaland — premiums are priced for ceiling, not efficiency — it's just the clearest evidence this gameweek that Hull's defensive record deserves more attention than a promoted side normally gets. In midfield, Gakpo's still the form pick heading into Liverpool vs Fulham; Scott and Cherki are the mid-price names worth a differential punt. Up front, Haaland and Isak remain the two names the position is built around, with Calvert-Lewin as the cheaper alternative if his GW4 fixture suits.
GW4 in context
The round runs 12-14 September. Liverpool host Fulham with Gakpo the obvious captain banker, Chelsea host Hull with Palmer the premium play, and the Manchester derby closes out Sunday. Full fixtures, predicted lineups and captain picks are on the GW4 hub.
