No. Your Fantasy XI locks the moment the match kicks off, you can freely edit your squad, budget and captain choices any time before then.
Right up until kickoff, you can swap players in and out, rebalance your 100-credit budget, and change your captain or vice-captain as many times as you like. Once the referee blows the first whistle, the team is locked and starts scoring from that point in real time.
This is deliberate. It keeps the game fair, since no one can react to in-match events (an early red card, an injury, a goal) after the fact. Set your team with your best pre-match read on team news and form.
