FootballQuest is the daily football Wordle: one mystery footballer from the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A or World Cup, six guesses, and clues built entirely from real club and career data. Everyone in the world gets the same player each day, and it resets at midnight IST.

The rules in six steps

Open today's quest. Go to footballdream.in/footballquest. Everyone in the world gets the same mystery footballer each day, resetting at midnight IST.
Search a footballer. Type any name into the search box. Results are ranked by relevance and international caps, and show each player's club, nationality and position.
Read the comparison. Your guess is compared to the mystery player across nationality, position, club, playing status, age, and club/international career stats.
Use the eliminations. A counter shows how many pool players still fit every clue revealed so far. Use it to check whether your next guess actually narrows the field.
Take a hint if stuck. Two hints are available per quest. Each states a verified fact about the mystery player, and the second never repeats the first. Hints reduce your Football IQ.
Solve within six guesses. Name the mystery footballer before your six guesses run out to keep your daily streak alive, then share your result grid without spoiling the answer.

What each clue tells you

Nationality

The country the player represents internationally — England, Spain, Brazil, Norway and so on.

Position

Goalkeeper, defender, midfielder or forward.

Guess 1

Status

Whether the player is currently active, taken from their club record.

Club

The real club they currently play for — Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and every other club across the pool.

The player's age, with an arrow showing whether the mystery player is older or younger than your guess.

Scoring: Football IQ

Every completed quest scores a Football IQ out of 100. It starts from a base of 20 and adds up to 40 points for solving in fewer guesses, up to 15 for using fewer hints, up to 10 for solving quickly, and up to 15 for the difficulty of the day's puzzle. A one-guess, no-hint solve on an expert quest is a perfect 100; scraping home on the sixth guess with both hints still scores 20. Your average Football IQ shows on the daily leaderboard.

Streaks, leaderboard and practice

Completing a quest — solved or not — extends your streak. The daily leaderboard ranks everyone who finished today's quest: solvers first, then fewest guesses, then fewest hints, then who finished earliest.

How many guesses do I get?

Six per day. Every guess reveals more comparison categories, so even a wrong guess is useful — it eliminates players and unlocks the next clue tier.

Which leagues does FootballQuest cover?

The pool draws from the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and World Cup squads — over 1,600 players, from the biggest global stars to squad players at every club.

How does the Hot/Cold score work?

Each guess gets a similarity score out of 100, weighted across nationality, position, club, playing status, age and career stats. Above 75 is blazing, under 35 is cold.

How is Football IQ calculated?

Football IQ rewards solving in fewer guesses (up to 40 points), using fewer hints (up to 15), solving quickly (up to 10) and tackling a harder puzzle (up to 15), on a base of 20. A perfect one-guess, no-hint solve on an expert quest scores 100.

How do streaks work?

Your streak counts consecutive IST calendar days on which you completed a quest — win or lose. Missing a day resets it. Practice games never affect your streak.

Is FootballQuest free?

Yes, completely free. You need a FootballDream account so your streak, Football IQ and history are saved to you, but there is nothing to pay and no download.

Can I play more than one puzzle a day?

Yes — Practice Quest gives unlimited games against a random player from a league you choose: Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A or World Cup. Practice never affects your daily streak.
