FootballDream Groups let you build a private football community with your friends. Share league codes inside the group, see who is performing best on a group leaderboard, challenge each other to head-to-head duels, and keep all your football banter in one place — no group-chat forwarding needed.
What are FootballDream Groups?
A Group is a social layer built directly into FootballDream — a dedicated room for your football crew. Create one for your office, your college friends, or any football community, public or private. Each group has a Feed (shared leagues), a Members list with roles, a Group Leaderboard, and head-to-head duels.
Public vs private groups
- Public groups are discoverable by all FootballDream users — great for fan clubs and open communities.
- Private groups are invite-only — only people with your 8-character invite code can join.
- The group creator is the admin and can promote other members, remove members, or delete the group.
How to create a group
- Open the Groups page on FootballDream.
- Tap '+ Create Group' and pick a name, description, and avatar emoji.
- Toggle 'Private group' if you want it invite-only.
- Hit Create — you're automatically the admin.
Inviting friends
Every group has a unique 8-character invite code. Share it so friends can join from the Groups page via 'Join by Code', or copy the direct invite link — it carries the code so friends land straight on the join screen. Drop the link in your football WhatsApp group so everyone joins in one tap.
Sharing a league into your group
Inside any group, open the Feed tab and tap Share. Enter your 6-character league code, add match info and an optional message, and post. The code appears as a clickable card in the feed and every group member gets an in-app notification — one tap takes them straight to the league.
Auto-create & auto-join leagues
Admins can switch on two power features in Settings. Auto-create-league spins up a fresh Fantasy league for the group roughly 24 hours before each upcoming fixture and posts it to the feed automatically. Auto-join then adds every member who has already built their Fantasy team for that fixture — so nobody misses out. These activate alongside the FootballDream Fantasy game.
The group leaderboard
The Leaderboard tab ranks every member by total points earned since they joined the group — so latecomers are never penalised. Filter by competition (World Cup 2026, UCL, La Liga and more) and the top three earn gold, silver, and bronze. Tap any row inside a competition to audit exactly which games made up their points.
Head-to-head duels
From the Members tab you can challenge any group member to a head-to-head duel on a chosen fixture. They accept or decline, and once a fixture is scored the higher fantasy total wins the duel — perfect for office bragging rights.
