Fantasy XI is genuinely quick to learn — you can build a team for any match, set your captain, and be competing in a couple of minutes, all free. Here's the full walkthrough, step by step.
Step 1. Pick a match
Open the Fantasy XI page and choose any upcoming match you want to build a team for. Each match runs as its own contest, and your team for that match locks the moment it kicks off.
Step 2: Build your XI
Pick 11 players within 100 credits: 1 goalkeeper, at least 3 defenders, at least 3 midfielders and at least 1 forward, no more than 8 from one team. Tap a player to add them — the budget bar and role chips show what you still need. If you'd rather start with something on the pitch, tap Auto-fill for an instant legal team and adjust from there.
Step 3: Set captain & vice-captain
Tap the C on your best attacker for 2× points, and the V on your second pick for 1.5×. They have to be different players.
Step 4: Save before kickoff
Hit Save Team. You can change your mind and edit your XI as many times as you like right up until the match kicks off, at which point it locks.
Step 5: Track your points
Once the match ends, FootballDream scores your team automatically from real match stats and updates the per-match leaderboard — no refreshing needed. Every team you've saved lives under My Teams.
Play with friends
Join or create a Group to run private leagues, compete on a group leaderboard, and challenge friends to head-to-head duels using your Fantasy XI scores.
